How do I qualify for the trade-in offer?

  • You must be a new Google Fi customer. A new Fi customer is someone who has never had Fi service or someone whose last day of Fi service took place more than 180 days before making a purchase with this promotion.
  • To qualify for the trade-in offer, you need to do all of the following:

When will I receive my credit?

  • You will receive an email notification after the new phone has met the activation requirements, and a second notification when the trade-in is processed. Following these notifications, the monthly credits will be applied to your future bills.
  • The fair value of the trade-in phone will be based on, and paid after, receipt of phone matching the description provided at time of estimate, and will be issued either as a refund to the credit card used for the phone purchase at fi.google.com (in case of full purchase), as a one-time bill credit (in case of device financing), or in the form of service credit if the purchased phone has already been returned. Additional trade-in credit necessary to satisfy the up to $800 offer will be provided ratably with 24 monthly bill credits.
    • Trade-in credit is based on (and paid after) phone received matching the description provided at time of estimate. Phones sent for trade-in must be received within 30 days of initiation of the trade-in process, provided the purchased device has not been returned during that time. Taxes will be applied at time of purchase. Additional trade-in terms apply.
    • If you return or cancel your device purchase and continue the trade-in process, you will have the option to cancel your trade-in. If you do not cancel the trade-in, you will not be eligible to receive the additional promotional trade-in value and will instead receive a revised final trade-in value that will be granted via a one-time credit.
