What's included in the trial?
The free trial includes unlimited data, calls, and texts in the US. It also includes features like hotspot tethering, a built-in VPN, and spam call blocking.
If you use more than 10 GB of data you'll experience slower data speeds during the trial.
What do I need to participate?
You'll need a Google account, a credit card, and an unlocked, eSIM compatible phone. Check if your phone is eSIM compatible.
Each phone can only use the trial once.
Who is eligible for the trial?
What happens at the end of the trial?
At the end of the trial, you'll automatically move to the Unlimited Standard plan for $50/month for 1 line and the monthly charge will be applied to your Fi bill until you cancel. Then you can bring over your current phone number, add family members, choose a different plan, and purchase devices.
If you don't want to stay on Fi after the trial ends, you can opt out of the automatic renewal or cancel any time in the Fi app and can still enjoy free service until your trial ends. Learn more.
Does it cost anything to participate in the trial?
There is no cost to participate in the 7-day trial and you can cancel your trial at any time.
You may see a temporary authorization hold on your card, which will be returned to you once Google Fi has confirmed your card is valid.
Can I keep my current phone number during the trial?
Yes, you can keep your current phone number. When you sign up for the trial with Fi, you'll get a new number so you can try calling, texting, or using data on the Google Fi network.
Will the trial affect my current service?
No. During your trial, your current carrier will remain active. You can choose between Fi or your current network whenever you're calling, texting or using mobile data.
