When you're using Wi-Fi Auto Connect+, your internet traffic is encrypted and private - of all the major carriers that provide premium Wi-Fi, we're the only one to automatically secure it with an encrypted connection., There are no extra charges, and data used when connected will not count towards your monthly data usage.

To get connected automatically to premium Wi-Fi, you need the latest version of Android on a Pixel 5a or newer Pixel phone, and your W+ toggle needs to be turned on. Wi-Fi Auto Connect+ is available only in the US for eligible Pixel phones.

When you’re in range of a premium Wi-Fi network, your Pixel device verifies the network’s quality. If the network is high quality, Google Fi may automatically connect to it and create a fully encrypted private connection.
